How much proof of funds do I need for a Canada study permit?
You must show enough to cover tuition plus living expenses for at least the first year. SDS-stream applicants typically buy a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) at the set amount. The checker confirms the GIC is present and your statements cover the balance.
